1. How can the learning environment in my school reflect the cultural diversity of the community we serve in order to         offer a welcoming, empathetic ethos?

– Ensure that the learning environment celebrates the range of cultural diversity

– Ensure environments provide opportunities to explore cultural diversity include: baskets, pillows, jewelry made from a variety of materials, puppets, rugs, wall hangings, food etc.

– Incorporate the range of languages onto display boards and other objects that reflect the world’s cultures.

2. How can the environment of the school be made accessible to learners from range of first languages?

– Use labels that are accompainied by pictures to support pupils understanding
